Decided to stay inshore in the bay this morning with all the potential for thunderstorms. Got a few on topwater starting out but never could establish that bite so switched to Holy Joely on a 1/4 oz Golden Eye jig and that is pretty much what we caught fish on all morning. I did get on a Holy Joely under a cork bite but that was only for about the last hr we were on the water. Everything came pretty shallow this morning in about 3'-4' of water. We probably caught at least 40 trout (probably more). We're still experiencing a poor legal vs short ratio right now inshore and still had to grind on them to get the 13 keepers (16"-18") that are going to be introduced to wild bill's cooking skills. I caught 2 reds that were only about 6' each. Water is still pretty bad looking. Was lazy with the photography today so the only shot we got was what wild bill took when he got them home.

The Holy Joely goes against my traditional thoughts about what colors for what different water conditions.. I never would of thought a basically clear lure with some color flakes in it doing well in really nasty water but the Holy Joely catches fish in clear or muddy water and I am not sure why.

I agree with BL, I have used it in all conditions and had good luck. Have even caught a couple bass behind the house with that color just messing around.
