Default 6-16 really sloooow!!!

Met up with ray and his dad at the pass loaded up a few dozen croakers and headed south, fish were playing hard to get checked all the normal spots, hit the marsh and back to the islands only 5 today, our croakers were smaller today, not sure what the issue was but it was a tough bite!

Don't you just love dem trout. Guess that is why we love to chase them so much.

The bite is off just in time for the weekend! Go figure! Us weekend warriors cant catch a break because if BL is on a slow bite then us mere mortals are in trouble!

We left with about three dozen croaker headed to the islands to see if we could match some of the recent reports I've been hearing on here. All we found was sharks. About 2:00 or so, right before the tide change, I picked up a Slick bait just for kicks and giggles and first cast got slammed. We ended up catching about 8 fish real quick then the bite shut down and it was over just as quick as it started. Nothing big, just some legal croaking males just over 15". The wife lost one that was pretty good due to me trying to tighten her drag while she was fighting the fish. Yep, I caught all the blame on that one too. Lol

BL, we went Saturday morning with arti, and our stringer may look like we did "good", BUT it was hard work getting those!
