I have heard that deer eat milo but i dont know of anyone who has experience using it. I have 5000 acres and they are planting 150 acres and Im disappointed that they are not planting beans. Anyone know if deer eat milo?

I'm pretty sure deer eat milo as well as any other grain.

I have used it as a foodplot before with great success, but only did it one year. They cleaned every head by the end of season. I liked it because it gave them some cover when they came out to eat not like being in the wide open of a clover or wheat. We planted 50 acres this year and I am curious to see how the eat it, but this field will be harvested so there won't be as much left to eat as my previous plot.

I'm considering planting it all of the way around one plot I have in a bottom and down the side of another as a "buffer" since the edge of my woods on the plots are wide open. Probably about 10-15 feet wide.

Take a look at some of the "High Dollar Food Plot" blends and see what they put in ....

When I planted it they ate all the other green plots down to the ground and then hit the milo about new years, which was good because the other plots were useless by then. It grows good and provides some cover. Last seed I bought had gotten expensive though.
