I've run into a couple inspectors like that unfortunately. There is no excuse for that kind of stupidity.

Man, that really sucks!!!

Wonder if any of the donors had their pics taken at the drop off, because we all know, without pics for proof, whats the point in donating ???

Local health departments allow the donation of uncooked venison but do not allow you to cook and serve it. I ran into this with our program. I can give it frozen to the food pantry and they can give it out to the needy but I can not give it to the soup kitchen where they cook it. Makes no sense that we can not do our called mission but the government will direct deposit their account so they can by groceries.

I hate to say it but that's the reason I don't donate jack to any public service. It's a little harder but I constantly keep my eye open for locals in need, then when I get extra clothes, money or food such as wild game I know who needs it. I have enough problem with the government wasting for me.
