Real good early and late season. Better be out there listening this weekend. Find a bird and get there early like 345-400 early and park at that entrance. You ain't the only one that will be there. Lots of permits !

Get you a good compass and map, walk in and get WAY off the road if you want any privacy on Talahalla.....just walking in 2 miles to the end of a road, an hour or two before first light doesn't mean someone won't walk in on top of you.....even if you start flashing a light at them when they are 600 yards away....

If you hear one gobbling at Tallahala, you better get on him quick. If you don't, that bird will be surrounded within 10 minutes. I don't think you can walk far enough in Tallahala to get away from everyone.

I got drawn to hunt sardis also. I've never been there before. I hope it not too crowded.I thought that was the idea of limiting the number of hunters on WMA's.

I probably shouldn't but I can put you "on one" in Talahalla...No matter the time of day, get in his "area" and he will answer and come to you gobbling like he's gonna run over you....that is, of course, until he get's within about 60 yds..then this peckerwood will make a 360 degree circle around you, gobbling every other breath, then leave out the way he came....go back the next day he'll treat you the same way....
