I love these threads where these guys kill deer at 400 yards every day. most of them have never seen a deer that far, let alone shot it!

    Quote:
One more thing, from my kills the farther the shot the better it performs. I hunted with it once in under 75 yard shot zone. A nice 8 point came strolling through at about 50 yards when I shot he didn't even flinch so I shot again thinking I had missed within a few seconds of the second shot he just fell over. When I skinned him the holes were less than a half an inch apart. Oh and by the way my average shots range between 250 to 400.

In that 250-400 window, how does it do? Do they tote it far, and do they leave good blood trails? What bullet are you shooting? I've been shooting a 270 win for years, and it kills em, but past 225, it leaves small entrance and exit holes with little to no blood. Mind you, they are usually layin within 60-70 yds but in these thickets, that's a long way with no blood trail to follow.

What do you think of Bruce King and his uncle who killed 5 bucks a day every day for the entire deer season for 40 years?

Eddie White does some mulching (601) 764-8733. He is located just west of Bay Springs. Eddie stays pretty busy with prescribed burns and other forestry work also.

David Stringer has a Kubota with a 6' front deck rotary Diamond Brand cutter (not a mulcher, his works like a hydraulic powered front mounjted bush hog.) He is located on Hwy 531 between Taylorsville and Bay Springs, in Smith County near the Smith/Jasper county line.
