Default WTB Good Gun Case

I have a trip to Alaska coming up and am looking for a good rifle case to take on the airline. If you have one laying around I am interested.

Thanks

Jim

Look at Harbor Freight. They have a nice one for around $125.

Marsh Pirate on your advice I picked an Apache 9800 long gun case at Harbor Freight today. This is exactly what I needed and I got it on sale for $115. This is essentially the same case as the Pelican 1750 for half the cost. I threw it in my pool to see if it would float like the pelican. It does and didn’t leak a bit. Thanks again for the tip. I’ll put a review of it under the equipment forum.

Not sure how your trip is setup or if the opportunity arises some one would have one to use. This is just a example. Prolly would need at least a 6wt. Big rainbows, grayling and possible salmon could be had. Not sure about license and could kill the deal.

I carried 3 four piece setups, waders, nets, etc in my baggage to Idaho few years back(-50#). You just need rod. BassPro could fix you up in Pearl for around $200 or less. If you decide to try it PM me your addy and Iíll send you a box of flies. Good luck!

Denduke I have a cousin that lives up there so I’m going with him. We will be fishing while we are hinting/camping. He has everything thing we I need essentially as he’s been doing this over 20 years. To finish my trip after the hunt we are going Halibut fishing we a buddy of his.

Good deal. I have one and knew it's tough as nails. Good to know it's waterproof, I wouldn't have thrown it in my pool. Good luck on your trip.
