Congratulations on a great trip! You can't get much better than that!

Looks like a heck of a good time. Dad just got back from his bow elk/bear hunt in Colorado. Public land DIY staying in a tent. He ate his either sex elk tag but could have filled it with cows or a small legal bull but chose to wait on something better. Luckily he did get a 300+lb pope and young class bear early in the hunt so pressure was off as far coming home empty handed made it a lot easier to wait for better elk. Green skull 22Ē so should make book after drying period. Donít know anything about bears much but looks like a big one to me. They actually called the trip a little early said once the primitive and rifle season and draws opened they got covered up with people and were getting walked in on 5-6 times a day. Tried a few other units all crowded and was looking like most all the elk had moved from the pressure to the private lands.

That's an awesome experience. Hearing stories like this, and no offense, looking a the age of you guys, made me commit to get out there while I'm young(er). Wish I would have started 10 years ago.

Awesome of you to share.

Itís time to apply for that bull tag. I just paid for my 5th elk pt and 4th deer point. Plan on going next year.
