Default Crossbow advice

during my accident I had a stroke and now have a left field cut. I have been practicing with my bow and am right handed so I look to my left. my target comes in and out of view and am making about 10 inch groups. I do not feel Ike I can make an effective kill shot with my bow so I am going to get a crossbow.

I am looking at the Barnet Jackel. It is running about 250 on Amazon. What do you think about this xbow? If you recommend a different one what would it be. I would like to stay under $300.
Thanks in advance.

I don't have any crossbow advice but I'm glad to see you're back on your feet. You don't know me but I work at the hospital and saw you almost every morning while you were in icu. You came a long way and I hope you continue to heal.

Personally, I would advise against anything Barnett. None of their stuff has good reputations in the crossbow world. You only spend a little more to get better made equipment. There is a tremendous amount of stress going through those limbs and stock. Unless the crossbow is well made, it's only a matter of time before it shakes itself loose.

Tenpoint is pretty much top of the line. I shoot a Wicked Ridge which is Tenpoint's budget line (older technology/less features/lower price-point market). If I were going to buy again, I'd take a serious look at Mission. They have been producing some really nice crossbows in the last couple of years (since I bought my Wicked Ridge).

For buying, it's hard to beat Wyvern. He seems to be the go-to dealer for crossbows both in price and in extras he usually throws in. http://www.wyverncreations.com/

Killer Instinct has the furious 370 on Amazon for a little under 400, this bow sells for 750 normally, it has a 2 pound trigger and is very accurate out to 60 yards.

Thumbs up

kramer_192, I hope you're back to life after the accident.. make sure your cables and strings are as high of quality as the bow you went with.. doesn't make sense to shell out a lot of money on a good bow and then use crap strings. my favorite is this https://www.60xcustomstrings.com/60x...ossbow-string/ and isn't too expensive.

I had a stroke 4 years ago and to go to a Crossbow. I shoot a Tenpoint. They are having a Father's Day special on their less expensive line.

Right now(fathers day special $329) I think this would be the best bang for the buck for your price range
