I've heard they do not last very long, if your feet sweat the moisture will drastically reduce the life span

I haven’t used that but I’ve had good results from the Hot Hands toe warmers, but I use them a little different. I put on a pair of ankle socks first, then put the warmers on top of my toes, then put my regular socks on. I can stay in the stand all day if my toes aren’t cold and this system does the trip for me.

Yep. This works.

The reason many people don't have success with foot warmers is they don't understand that the warmers MUST have *some* air circulation. That's why putting them under your feet or toes doesn't work. They also aren't as effective with rubber/neoprene boots because those dont breathe at all. Leather breathes some.

Make sure your warmers have some amount of air around them and they work great.

I got a pair, think I tossed them. A good sock (keyword good) does wonders. Like Smartwool trekking heavy socks myself, over a thinner sock, expensive but got some that are pushing 10 years old at this point.
