Default Bayou Caddy area

I have 2 questions: what is that series of piling out front of the SS casino ( on google maps looks triangular shape with rocks)? Appears t be some form of reef and they are actively working it with cranes and barges. Is is safe to fish around this structure; seems logical that it would hold bait and thus trout/redfish/sheephead. Secondly: has anyone been seeing any tripletail in MS sound? I did some running/checking before Cristobal, but have not gone back since. Thanks, tite lines!

That is a man made reef. Not sure what it's name is. At times it can be pretty good usually more spring early summer before it gets pounded and it does get pounded. They have been dredging out by the reef now for a couple of weeks. Not sure why they are so close to it. The channel is north of where they are setup.
