Default Dmr

Please tell me I am hearing this wrong or it’s a hoax. From what I’ve read from our governor recreational fishing is currently not allowed. How exactly are they gonna enforce this. I bought a **** license and I can’t fish?

Tate, I suggest you take a look at “Article III section 12A of the Mississippi Constitution Bill of Right’s”. As long as we fish and hunt according to the rules and regulations we can do so. The DMR is NOT the only agency that provides services on the water. We have the Coast Guard, Sheriffs Dept, MS Game and Fish, National Park Service, and the List goes on an on. Just like when the Fed budget expired the Military did not go home. We will fish...

Did I miss something? Did they close everything down again? Are they saying we can't go fishing?

On News Watch 13 last night the governor said that the DMR budget was not approved and the legislators went home. He enacted an emergency order to fund them for the short term. So the DMR should be business as usual for now. I didn't see all of the interview and didn't hear the part about fishing.

You’re correct JD. business as usual. Don’t catch anything undersized or more than your limit. I saw them today at the ramp. Stay legal.
