Default Go ahead and bury your heads

I find it so disappointing that so many people are so deep into their own self interest that they just go on talking about the best place to hunt or fish or the latest gadget that has been market analyzed out the wahzoo and not be concerned about the freaking election. We have been lulled into a false sense of security that the people in change mist know what they are doing of they wouldn’t be in the positions they are in. We are supposed to be independent people. We hunt on our own in the woods against cautious prey and learn all
Of their habits and traits. We seek out difficult fish to catch and study the weather like no meteorologist ever did. But yet we blindly cast a ballot for someone we barely know except for what a school trained script reader tells us about them. And then go on about our business like nothing ever happened and that things will just keep going our way. Well guess what folks, your world is fixing to change. It is too late now so go ahead and enjoy yourself this season because God help us all when this bunch of socialists get their hands on us. I spent the better part of my life protecting this country and our way of life for these jackbooted thugs. Now they are going to be ruling our once great nation. I hope you are proud of yourselves. You children and grandchildren will never know your joys. You have become the harbinger of strife and despair for them. Maybe they will remember you for better things so it is not so painful to admit that you gave their happiness away.

Dude...relax. This is a forum about the great outdoors in the state of Mississippi. This is NOT a political forum. There are plenty of those. Please take a close look at the forum categories, and there isn't a single one referring to "Political Views of Mississippians." But that doesn't mean the people who post here don't care. It's just that this isn't the place for it. In fact, this is one of those good places many of us come to ESCAPE all that BS. There are countless other forums and websites where political discussions are welcome and appropriate. But this is not one of those. Trust me, I and others here feel as strongly as you do about these matter, but, again, this is NOT a political forum. It's an outdoors forum. I will be happy to direct you to any number of such places. But, frankly, if politics were a topic here I'd never come back. That's NOT why I spend time here.

Jake's right. If you want to complain about politics - take it somewhere else.
