I prefer mornings overall I guess. Figure I have killed just about as many in the evenings though. I try to hunt the movement patterns about like everyone else does but just can never get past thinking about what I might miss if I sleep in. Especially now that we got cams that text your phone!

One place a Hunting we don’t see anything in the mornings so we most evenings. Complete opposite on another place to hunt. My aunts place we generally see him mid day so we go in at about 10 and come out at about two. It’s funny how there’s so much difference in movement at different areas of the state.

Default still learning

I hunt mostly evenings during bow season and mornings once gun season starts. I've always believed that deer move more in the evenings prior to the rut and mornings during the rut. I've never considered morning/evening movement relative to hunting pressure, but that has given me something to think about. Where I hunt I'm the only bow hunter, but there's a lot of hunting pressure once gun season starts. Could be something to it. I've been hunting deer for over fifty years and still learning.

I prefer afternoon hunts, but I have 1 piece of property that is a much better morning spot. I typically hunt travel corridors or natural food ( browse, acorns etc in the am) and Food Plots or Pipeline in afternoon

I use to hunt and kill most of my deer in the mornings, but as I get older I'm hunting mid-day and afternoons now.
