Feeding, might be stupid question.
So I moved out of MS back in 08 or so and hunting over corn was illegal. This is the first year since I moved back that we getting the old camp back in shape to hunt and was getting ready to take all my feeders down in the next couple weeks and started reading the regs.
Am I reading this stuff right that you can have a feeder in the middle of your food plot slinging corn out during hunting season now as long as it's off the ground and covered? Part of me is like wtf, and the other part is about to go to the county co-op and get a trailer load of corn and stick a feeder under every stand. |
Yep, you read right. Spincast or trough feeder as long as it has a roof over it. In other words just don't pile it on the ground.

Pls remember to relocate feeder sites every 60 to 90 days. The point being deer should not eat in the same place over and over due to the build up of urine and fecal matter. It may seem like a hassle but it is one of the things you can do to prevent disease and the dreaded CWD from being transmitted from nose to nose contact.

Yes, but if you are in a dense hog area its like ringing a dinner bell
