I haven’t read anything this season about CWD. Have there been more positives this season? I’m sure they are testing but maybe the archery harvest is too low to get enough samples. Just curious if anybody has heard anything new.

I have not heard any news. I am in Prentiss County and we are included in the CWD Zone and I don’t know why. We have not had a positive case nor has any of the six counties that surround us.

Thanks for this information. Don’t know how I missed it. Ends up I am now in a surveillance zone instead of a management zone.

I just visited the MDWFP Website and it has not been updated with the information in the article. Guess I will have to subscribe to the Clarion Ledger to get my news.

In that article it says it was updated September 18th and the commission decided to keep everything just like it was. Nothing has changed according to the updated article.

I think that first post is wrong information, and it got rescinded by MDWFP back to being just like last years rules. If you live/hunt in a questionable county you need to call MDWFP to be sure before you bait.
