Default WMA dove hunts?

I see HM was not planted due to spring floods so no dove hunt this Sept???
Prolly means the duck units weren’t planted either unless they tried rice and JapMillet seeded by airplane. Anybody with boots on the ground could chime in?? A PM reply might be better since public... Bout a zillion peeps visit this place that never register...Thanks

Have you ever dove hunted Muscadine Farms WMA? My youngest appears to have gotten drawn for a youth hunt there, but we're not familiar with the area.

Never hunted Muscadine. I understand it’s mostly old catfish ponds and draw duck hunts there. They Teal hunt in Sept too. I see it’s sunflowers, oughta be good. Bad thing about youth hunts Pop can’t shoot. Three hour drive from H’burg almost to Greenville. You can email Houston Havens or might call if he’s not in the field. Need to ask if you gotta use steel shot dove loads. HM dove field use lead cuz they don’t flood it for da ducks. Not sure about muscadine. He’ll answer all your questions. Have fun!
