Default Question on spraying with the throw and mow method

In the last couple of years I have incorporated clover into my STM mix. I have read several post saying to spray the clover with clethodim in the spring to control grasses. By doing this, won’t I be essentially eliminating the much needed thatch for the STM method to be successful??
Should I just continue to “clip” these patches once or twice a year??
Thanks
Jeff

I don't think the STM plot model is very compatible with an established cover plot, unless you're willing to sacrifice the clover.
