Saw the forecast last night and started early this morning on a new food plot we had the dozier push out this week. Tilled, fertilized, seeded and dragged. Have not had a chance to soil sample so triple 13 was the order. Just got a good rain on it and more forecast for this week. Existing plots were cut and sprayed this week so hopefully get them in in a couple of weeks. I know it’s early but we will see.
Years ago we would always plant mid September and if I remember correctly they did ok. I was able to get 1 plot disced and limed yesterday. I’m too chicken to plant this early!!
Well be careful what you pray for. We have received 6.6 inches of rain in the past 24 hours and it is still raining. Had to drain pool twice and empty rain gauge earlier as it will only hold 5 inches. Plot probably washed away. That’s deer hunting.
