Default Anything To Plant Now

Is there anything I can throw out in a cut over that hasnít been planted nor sprayed yet to continue to get deer coming? Would wheat or oats come up now or is it too cold? What bout regular old ryegrass? Iíve had regular ryegrass grow in the bed of my truck and 4wheeler already so I assume itíd grow now. What yíall think?

You could probably try anything that doesn't require tilling. It may grow for a while but you can bet if it's company land, they'll be spraying the heck out of it and killing everything. I miss the old days when they would burn instead.

If they are going to spray, you might as well go with the cheapest route. Ryegrass, rye grain and wheat. Mix em up and broadcast. They will grow on bricks if they get moisture.

I picked up a bag of cereal rye to toss out. Hopefully the fresh shoots will attract and hold deer here for a bit.
