It was near the big muddy and black muddy. Those days are long gone. Habitat change and consistent flooding has decimated those birds.

Ive watched several of Daves videos and could do with out the video crawling. However I have done it on private a couple times with success. He won the nwtf calling comp a couple years ago. The dude can flat yelp on a mouth call.. and kill a turkey.

Just got back from a certain state and it was simply unbelievable at the amount of non-residents there for the first time. I know most were first-timers because I spoke with basically everyone I ran across. Coincidentally, this particular state had a lot of spotlight put on it last spring by a YouTuber. And what do ya know, me and all the other non-residents talked about the YouTubers! I actually cut my trip a day short because I literally couldn't find a parking spot after my roost hunt the last morning. This was definitely NOT a destination state before!

Gotta love it.

The picture of the guy with the decoy is Shane Simpson and he was in Tenn with Catman. If you watch the video they were messing with some Jakes in a field not trying to reap a Gobbler. I met Shane this year on public land nice guy not arrogant like some of them come off. I know guys that have ran into Dave and they said he was an arrogant little turd. Also know a guy that had the THP park on top of him in Alabama.
I don’t really care for most of the utubers Dave and the crawling project them THP hipster doofuses or Catman( he seems a little off) but I watch a video here and there. Aron from THP is ok but he needs to leave them other clowns at the house. Even that long haired THP guy has pretty much went his own way and doesn’t hunt with them doofuses. Dave started off good but I can’t watch it anymore. Like the hero you filmed some of these guys are learning one thing “crawling” no calling no woodsmanship just hear a turkey and hit the crawl mode.
One group I do like to watch the Untamed man that one guy has to be the worst mouth caller I’ve ever seen lol. And his owl hoots are ridiculous I laugh the whole show.
