I'm fine with whatever.

When's your first day to hunt? What's your expectations for this season? I'm excited. Another season is here. Don't think I'll be able to hunt until 17th due to work. Good luck.

I plan on hunting the first 3 or four mornings, but my wife has a baby due soon. I'll be off for 6 weeks then, but I don't know what my expectations are once that happens.

I'm excited. I have only been able to really get out and scout one day so far and saw a good bit of sign and it was a morning after a hard rain so I know they're there. I have to work Monday and Tuesday and I'm off until next Monday so I will be full force after them everyday.

Hey guys how's the season going so far? I Got #1 this morning. Had 4 gobbling heads off just across property line. I listened to the neighbor booger them up until about 730 then I struck out on my normal walk around our place. About 5 mins into my walk a solo bird started gobbling in one of our plots. Before I could get to plot, he started heading straight to me on a woods road. Gobbling every minute or two. I sat down on side of road and waited. He rounded a corner about 75 yards out and started to walk into the woods. I purred real softly and scratched the leaves. He stopped and starred down the road knowing he she see something. Luckily I was behind a small rise & he eventually came to investigate. Rolled him over at about 30 yards.

Congrats, LandDawg! I haven't had much luck. I have only heard one bird each day I've been. One got shot when he flew down(on the property line), Had one at 70 yds and 3 deer came barreling through the woods and then I had a Jake that sounded like a full blown gobbler that I called up.. so far it's been the slowest year I've ever had as far as hearing birds. Disappointing to say the least, but I'm confident the birds will crank up this week. I'll get to go tomorrow, Friday and Sunday so maybe I'll get one.

Called another up Wednesday morning. Had my buddy with me and I was gonna be the shooter.. what do you know he comes in behind us, just the way my buddy is facing and he kills him. I never knew he had even come in, until my buddy shot, bc I shot my gun close to 20 times the afternoon before after I missed and my ears were basically dead all morning. Oh well still nice to call one up for a buddy!
