Default Little Black Creek Campground

Anyone ever fish the lake there at the campground? My wife and I are going next weekend and plan on doing a little fishing. I have never been there. Any general info on the lake would be greatly appreciated.

Is around 10ft deep on average. There is a lot of grass. If you are on the bank the farther you can get to the upper end of the lake the better. If they will allow you to wade then I would absolutely try it.
If you have a boat there is a creek running through a stump field on the upper end that pays off sometimes. We always have luck in the stumps outside the creek in 3-5 ft of water this time of year. Even shallower if the clarity is bad.

Awesome! Just what I was looking for. I had no idea what to expect there. We are bringing the boat, a bucket of shinners, and some jigs. Hope to have a decent report early next week lol

Thanks!

Try jigging pink and chartreuse jigs about 3 feet under a cork in 3-6 ft of water. Use crappie nibbles to tip your jigs with.

FYI, I believe it's "trolling speed only" if you're in a boat.

Well despite not catching many fish and having boat problems we had a great time. Didn't find any crappie but caught a bass a couple small channel cats.

At least you had a good time. I've always wanted to take the family up there for a weekend.
