With the amount of Rice Bran that is sold in this state compared to the number of camera survey permits issued, the ones with the permits must be really piling that stuff up!

Looks like rice bran or any feed is legal 2014-15 in feeders or covered troughs on private land and the only legal hunting is minimum 100yds off fence line with feed and you must be hunting a minimum distance of 100yds of covered feed not on the ground and feed must be out of line of site or obstructed view.

Urbanbucks was correct at the time he made his statement on July 13, 2014, it was not legal at that time. The regulation changed soon after and now would be legal in proper feeder. The new regulations were discussed in the topic in September 2014, link below:

I thought you could use anything in a trough feeder? that would include rice bran wouldn't it?

Yes. Now you can. The law has changed a few times since 2015. Rice bran can be used in a covered feeder.
